Lovers separated by thousands of miles
On Valentine’s Day, many lovers, partners and spouses will celebrate their love together. Yet many, who are separated by thousands of miles, find comfort in the unbreakable bond of true love. Despite the physical distance, because their passion is deep and intense, they patiently wait till the day they will be reunited. Until then, their love will overcome the distance between them because they believe in the unbreakable bond of true love. Beverley Joy
Listen HERE – Poem – A Golden Thread
You are there, I am here
And in between 1000s of miles
Of desert sands, oceans deep
Two cities, one of us in each.
The traffic rushes by
People go about their day
Working, talking, the birds are singing,
The wind blows through the leaves.
Lovers kiss and hug,
Hand in hand they walk
The sun rises, the sun falls
Life goes on but ours has stalled.
I have what I need, I have what I want
Then why can’t we be together?
Then I see in the distance a pure Golden Thread
Flowing between us.
We’ve faced some hard times, but we have survived
It just drives our love deeper and stronger
Beyond what is seen or heard.
We believe there is nothing
That life could throw at us
That we could not rise above
This distance between us – soon a memory.
I lift my head from the words I’ve read
My love has written to me
I sit here calm as I gaze across
The horizon toward my love.
The way it is entwined
Unbreakable it’s strength
Soon it will draw us in together again.
I see in the distance a pure Golden Thread flowing between us.
